2005Although the tour of Bulgaria was clearly our biggest event in 2005, we started with a recording, and ended with Dessi fronting a Radio 3 documentary on Bulgarian choral music. Bulgaria's Voice9:30 BBC Radio 3, Christmas Day, 2005 Dessi presented this 45 minute exploration of Bulgarian music and culture, with interviews and recordings from the tour in August 2005. Did you see us? Friends of Bulgaria Christmas PartyBulgarian Embassy, 24 November 2005 The choir gave a short performance of traditional and seasonal Bulgarian songs at this charity christmas party. The choir is pleased to support this event, in aid of orphanages, schools and children's hospital wards in Bulgaria. Party organised by Friends of Bulgaria, and supported by the Bulgarian Embassy, the Bulgarian City Club and Zov UK. Balkan Beat BoxScala, London, 3 November 2005 Dessi and Bozena sang with Balkan Beat Box as they started their European tour. BBC World ServiceIn Praise of God, 23 October 2005 The choir sang Moma Hubava and Tsarsko Momche for this program about Bulgarian rituals and stories. Flash ChoirLondon, 22 October 2005 Plenty of crowds (and the occasional security guard) were drawn to the choir as they wandered from London Bridge to Covent Garden, singing wherever they found a good echo. Thirty singers were joined by four musicians, a journalist from BBC Radio 3 and fifteen assorted partners, relatives and friends. We had an extraordinary time; performing, seeing the sights, and meeting other choirs. Dates 13th August, Trigrad. Afternoon performance in the town square, evening performance at the Orphic Festival. 15th August, Stara Zagora. Evening concert in the Old Theatre. 16th August, Plovdiv, at the ìKingís Stablesî 18th August, Rousse. Evening concert. Spring Concert with Stanislav HvartchilkovThe Bolivar Hall at the Venezuelan Embassy - 16 June 2005 A packed house at this wonderful venue. The choir were in fine voice with old and new songs, and we were all stunned by Stanislav's fluency across a repertoire from Bach to Bogdanovich. Alphabet Day CelebrationThe Bulgarian Embassy - 28 May 2005 Annual celebration of the Cyrillic Alphabet. Resonance FMLondon Diaspora Live - 31 March 2005 An hour of songs and inverviews with members of the choir. Big Sing Amnesty ConcertSt. Luke's, Cambridge, 18 March 2005 Kicking off the Cambridge Big Sing Weekend with the Good Vibrations Community Choir.
